Good news! Healthy desserts do exist and they look and taste just as exquisite as their traditional competitors. Serena Sirini is the expert pastry chef behind Mrs Sweet, a raw plant-based patisserie which uses only natural and ecological ingredients to create healthy gourmet desserts.
Her delicious gluten-free cakes contain no eggs, cheese or milk. Instead she uses raw nuts for the bases, such as Mallorcan almonds or Italian hazelnuts, raw cashews and avocado for the creams and, as sweeteners, only coconut sugar or agave syrup.
She loves to create bespoke cakes and pastries paying close attention to every detail. Serena claims: “A special moment always needs a special dessert: that’s why I want my desserts to taste and look good and be as special as the moment itself!”
Her creations are pieces of art that she shares with lucky customers who she handpicks each month to join her in secret workshops. This autumn, she’ll be also running gourmet courses for both professionals and private individuals. She caters for events, makes wedding cakes, and delivers all over the island.
