Museu Fundació Joan March occupies a former 17th century town house along the busy shopping street, Carrer de Sant Miquel in Palma. The permanent collection presents the key trends and Spanish artists of 20th century. There is a total of 70 works and 52 artists featured.

The avante-garde movement is represented by names such as Juan Gris, Julio González, Joan Miró, Salvador Dalí and Pablo Picasso. The presence of Tàpies is also notable, as too are the distinct sculptures of Basque artists, Jorge Oteiza and Eduardo Chillida.
Temporary exhibitions share the events, photography and art that shaped the 20th century. The museum has a library which is free for researchers and holds free periodic talks and concerts in its event rooms. There is also a bookshop and a café. The museum is open Monday to Friday from 10.00 – 18.30 and Saturday 10.30 – 14.00. It is free to enter.
