Despite being a new build, this villa in Santanyí presents an alluring vision of rustic Mediterranean living. Featuring wooden beams and exposed stone, Andrea Pussin, founder of Organic Studio, was careful to choose the decor accordingly.
The palette of earthy tones creates an atmosphere of warmth, as do the luxurious layering of textures. Andrea’s home store favours organic fabrics, handmade finishes, recycled wood and natural stone, all of which she has channelled into this project.
“My clients didn’t want their home to fall into the usual ‘showroom look’,” Andrea explains. To avoid this happening, she made sure that no components were repeated in the five rooms. Instead, she designed bespoke pieces, such as the 300 kilogram limestone table in the outdoor dining room and the elegant handmade beech wood table inside.
White walls provide a neutral background for the interplay of finishes; from wicker lampshades, delicate ceramic pots, solid wood coffee tables to stylish cord chairs and jute rugs.
Located in between the town and the sea, the peace of the surrounding fields filters in through the open doors. A charming suspended armchair in the living room sums up the dreamy ambiance of this home, so clearly tailored for relaxation.
