About Opia
Opia is a concept store in central Palma which brings together a diverse selection of gifts including bespoke jewellery, handcrafted stationery and quirky homeware.
Opia Concept Store
The owners of Opia are Mallorcan sisters, Cristina and Belén Palou. Shop-keeping is in their blood. Their parents owned one of the first shops on the exclusive shopping street Jaime III back in the 70s. Twenty years after leaving their parents business, Belén, who studied fine arts in Barcelona, and her sister, Cristina, a former florist, decided to set up their own business in the heart of the Balearic capital.
The concept store might only consist of one floor, but its shelves are full of variety. The contemporary jewellery is particularly eye-catching and ranges from bold statement pieces in silver and gold, to more colourful pieces made from different textiles. You’ll be able to read the story behind some of the creations, giving the pieces an added depth.
For the home, you’ll find a selection of lamps, soft furnishings, glassware and dishes. Other gifts items include luxury journals, a range of eco-friendly watches, felt slippers, aprons and essential oil diffusers. They also stock a limited selection of clothing. The discerning sisters invest a lot of their time searching for products with character, which you won’t see everywhere else.
Brands
Opia favours small scale productions and strive to have an ever-changing selection of exclusive products. They don’t stock particular designers.
