About Osteria N15
Osteria N15‘s mission statement is to “achieve and maintain a distinction in classic and modern Italian food” and while maintaining a strong link to local produce, Mallorcan wines and typical Spanish and Italian products.
Found in Port de Pollensa, in Placa Miguel Capllonch 15, a short walk away from the town’s port and with fantastic views of the Cap de Formentor heights, the terrace opened in 2015 is a wonderful place to enjoy fine Italian cuisine while watching the world go by.
The cuisine at Osteria N15
The Italian and Spanish mix is immediately obvious from the first item found in the menu: mussels in spicy tomato sauce with garlic and parsley. The fusion continues throughout the menu, from the octopus salad to the risotto, from the galician beef and on to the typical Italian tiramisù and panna cotta.
Following the best Italian tradition however there is also a very strong selection of specials, based on the season and availability, which always offers a surprise aside from the fixed menu.
Something that is deeply appreciated due to its rarity is the presence of a gluten-free menu – not something easy to find in the bread and flour-rich Italian diet!
Roberto Maggioni, from Milan started out in Pollensa at Il Giardino before being scouted for blockbuster Californian restaurants Locanda del Lago and Il Covo, bringing his strong focus on Northern Italian cuisine to the States before returning to Mallorca in 2012.
Stefano Pellucchi is also from Milan, and his cooking skills have taken him from the mountains of Gstaad to Portofino and onto Mallorca, where he met Roberto while working in Il Giardino, Pollensa.
Osteria N15 wouldn’t be complete without Dana Bena, a strong entrepreneurial and risk-taking spirit which gels the team and has carried the restaurant from strength to strength.
