Behind the doors of the 18th century Palacio Can Marques guests can expect to find luxurious décor and furniture in each and every one of its thirteen unique suites. Each suite has its own unique character as does every hallway and open space throughout the hotel which complement the building’s harmonious design and Mallorcan architecture. It is easy to feel as though you have stepped back in time when entering the vast entrance hallway with its sweeping Beauty and the Beast-style staircase looming in front of you and the traditional features all around.
The hotel is situated between one of Palma’s oldest squares the Plaza Drassana, in the old maritime neighbourhood La Lonja, and the bustling Calle Apuntadores full of bars and restaurants. It is best reached by taxi as you will not be able to get into the residential area with a hire car due to the narrow streets that are mainly for pedestrians only.

Relax & enjoy
True to its motto, “Feel at home in the heart of Palma”, the well-trained hotel team makes it easy for you to enjoy your stay without a care in the world. Have a drink on the beautiful terrace with views of the cathedral or on the tranquil internal patio “The Garden” which fully lives up to its name with plenty of foliage to make you feel that you are a million miles away from the buzz of the city just feet away. In the in-house fitness room, guests can work out with the state-of-the-art equipment or relax in a steam bath.
The individuality of the suites begins with their names which range from “Rose” which has a private 53 square-metre terrace with views out onto the Plaza Drassana and “Cathedral” with its six-metre-high ceilings and fireplace to “Riad”, the 400 square metre presidential suite for six people complete with its own terrace, a separate bedroom tower and fully equipped kitchen. Comfort is guaranteed in every suite with attention paid to every detail of the design and décor. Designer Aline Matsika, who was responsible for the interiors, also used lamps from Murano which were specially made for each suite as well as handwoven silk and wool rugs from Nepal. With the combination of unique, lovingly designed suites and exceptional service, the Hotel Palacio Can Marques sets new standards for the hotel industry in Mallorca.
