For its continuing campaign against sexual harassment, No i Punt, Palma’s council has published a guide for this summer’s festival season on what exactly constitutes abuse and how witnesses should react to it.
Lucía Segura, CEO for Equality, Youth and Civil Rights, said the guide is to be distributed at all events run by the council and neighbourhood associations.
The leaflet for the campaign, which the Consell de Mallorca is also promoting, outlines that “any behaviour which harms the sexuality of others whether through violence or intimidation” should be considered abuse, and should report to the nearest No i Punt stand or gazebo present at the events and festivals. The leaflet was first distributed during Sant Joan in Parc de la Mar in June.
