A day spent outdoors never fails to clear the mind and re-energise the body, and Mallorca offers a huge diversity of landscapes to enjoy. So why not pack a picnic and find the beautiful spot to settle down and savour a simple meal, immersed in nature?
About halfway down the Alcúdia peninsula, close to the Ermita de Victoria church and opposite a small island, is a delightful spot with picnic tables right beside a pebble beach.
Alternatively, high in the Serra de Tramuntana the blue-green water of the Gorg Blau reservoir makes a scenic place spread out a blanket and enjoy your sandwiches after a morning walking in the mountains or, if you’d rather have a picnic prepared for you, Santa Catarina vineyard near Andratx will provide you with a hamper filled with local delicacies and, of course, a bottle of their wine, which you can enjoy sitting amongst the vines.
