Relax & enjoy
This hotel is all about switching off and soaking up the tranquillity, helped by not one but two outside saltwater pools to choose from. The first is nestled amongst the hotel gardens, surrounded by tidy lawns and loungers, while the other is an infinity pool directly overlooking the sea. Loungers and parasols are dotted around the grounds, so you can always find a secluded spot in which to recline and relax.
An alfresco wellness centre has a small heated pool, sauna, steam room and outdoor gym, while also offering in- or outdoor Abhyanga massage treatments. The hotel also has its own speedboat for those wanting to explore the coast by sea.
Golf buggies whisk new arrivals to one 30 suites occupying various sand-toned blocks scattered around the hotel lush grounds. Spacious minimalist interiors draw from a calming palette of white, cream, and pale woods, with natural materials such as bamboo, oak and pine integrating inside with outside space.
All rooms include high-end amenities such as Bang and Olufsen sound systems and Illy coffee machines, while upgraded suites have the added luxury of outdoor whirlpool tubs. Bathrooms come with separate freestanding tubs, walk-in showers, and premium-brand toiletries; pebbled patios provide extra alfresco showers.
Eat & drink
Meaning ‘fire’ in Catalan, for dinner the hotel’s Foc restaurant specialises in Mediterranean meats and seafood expertly flame-grilled over specific locally sourced woods. A lunch menu is also available with the likes of wok bowls, pasta and salads, and the restaurant extends to a covered terrace overlooking the garden with lovely sea views. There’s also a garden bar lined with bamboo offering an impressive choice of local wines and cocktails.
Breakfast combines an extensive quality buffet that includes homemade jams and local cheeses, while freshly squeezed orange juice and cooked-to-order eggs and pancakes are brought to the table.
Close to the hotel
There is direct access to the small pebble-sand beach of Cala Auberdans from the hotel grounds, or nearby Canyamel offers a longer stretch of sandy coast. The fascinating Caves of Artá are just along the coast from here.
Four golf courses – Pula, Capdepera, Canyamel and Son Servera – can call be found within a 15-minute drive of the hotel.
