Following the extraordinary success of the second edition of the Short Film Contest, Port Adriano once again challenges professionals and amateurs from the world of cinema to show their talent in a third edition of the contest with more and greater prizes.
This third edition will give both professional and amateur film makers an opportunity to have their work shown to the public at a special awards ceremony at Cineciutat.
A major gesture of support for the many audio-visual specialists on the island, the competition will also give finalists a generous 11,000 euros in prizes, as well as industry recognised accolades:
- First prize 5,000€
- Second prize 3,000€
- Third prize 1,500€
- Short prize of less than one minute 1.000€
- First prize to the most seen in Social Media 500€
- AICO Award for the best technical realisation 500€
- Prize of Participation in the 7th Evolution! Mallorca Film Festival
- Diploma to the best masculine and feminine interpretations
- Diploma to the best audio-visual production given out by RECBLAU Audiovisuals
Furthermore, this contest will be in collaboration and under endorsement of CortoEspaña, a national platform for the exhibition and projection of short-films for the whole of Spain.
Participation is open and free not only for professionals but also for amateurs. The only thing you need is a good story. It can be a short-film, a music video, video art or any form of audio-visual work with a maximum duration of five minutes.
The theme is of free choice and does not have to necessarily be nautical-based, but half the piece must be filmed in Port Adriano, Calvia. Without a doubt, filming in a marina designed by the recognized Phillippe Starck, full of corners to be discovered and blessed with a great light, are basic elements for a master piece.
The jury will base their criterion on originality, script, interpretation and an innovative vision of the port.
The videos presentation deadline is May 20th.
