Potatoes are the major export crop grown on the flat fertile land around the town of Sa Pobla and this annual fair celebrates the humble spud.
What to expect
This gastronomic event takes place in early June. Sa Pobla’s restaurants will set up stalls in the town’s large main square, Plaça Major, to tempt you with a variety of traditional and modern potato-based dishes. To complement the starchy food, you’ll find stands of wine from the local bodegas and artisan beers. During the evenings of one lively weekend, the town’s shops will have extended opening hours and there will be live music until late. Certainly, this fair in Northeast Mallorca promises authentic island vibes and a family-friendly atmosphere.
