Among the clubs facilities are an outdoor and indoor pool, a fully-equipped gymnasium, members’ restaurants, a crèche, library and lounges. The club offers sailing and canoeing courses for different ages and levels.
Palma’s Royal Nautical Club hosts some of the most prestigious sailing competitions in the world. Palma Vela takes place in May, with regattas for large yacht classes as well as smaller and vintage vessels. The Trofeo Princesa Sofía Iberostar, held annually in April and May, features Olympic and Paralympic competitors. La Copa del Rey is equally highly regarded and attracts royal participants to its regattas in August.
Non-sailors are welcome at the tables of El Naútico, the club’s restaurant which overlooks the marina. It is not the only kitchen serving up high quality Mediterranean cuisine in the area; some of the tastiest seafood restaurants in Palma are located along the waterfront.
