The southwest of Mallorca is home to several superb golf courses – one of which is the Bendinat Royal Golf Course, located in an extensive wooded valley and at the heart of the prestigious Bendinat residential development of luxury villas.
With the backdrop of the imposing Bendinat Castle and just seven kilometres west of Palma, it’s a fine place to play golf and has been the venue for a number of prestigious competitions, including The Robert Winsor Charity Golf Tournaments.
The course was inaugurated in 1986 and enlarged to 18 holes in 1995, under the direction of architect Martin Hawtree.
This isn’t an easy course to play – almost all of the 18 holes are dog legs – but it is one of Mallorca’s shorter courses and a varied one too, which makes it popular with golfers of all abilities.
Facilities include a full network of buggy paths, driving range, putting green, pro-shop and clubhouse with attractive terrace, close to Hole one, and with views over the 18th Hole.
Open-air concerts have also been held in here during the summer months.
Players must present their handicap certificate. Reserve your place by email for 10% discount on green fees. Real Golf de Bendinat has an arrangement for their members with The London Golf Club in the UK, as well as clubs on the peninsula, in Alicante, Asturias, and Girona.
