This restaurant closed in 2015.
You have to climb some steps up to El Pato, located in the Son Vida Golf clubhouse (scheduled to be demolished, with a new one to be built across the street).
Open for lunch and dinner, it offers views of the course and Son Vida hills. In the evenings, the more formal dining area of the restaurant is open and, although there is a terrace, it is unfortunately covered with plastic.
Swiss-born chef Pius Schnider and Gabriela Fontana Schnider (maître d’) are very experienced restaurateurs, so expect top-class food and friendly professional service, at prices that are commensurate with these standards. The couple is moving to Tenerife and 2015 will be their last year at El Pato, so we recommend that you enjoy the great food here while you still can.
Much of the cuisine here reflects the chef’s northern European roots. We can recommend the green salad with pear and parmesan, and the breaded veal escalope Vienna-style – a dish that also appeals to younger diners.
El Pato is probably one of the best places on Mallorca to eat the traditional “Züricher Geschnetzeltes” – veal schnitzel with rösti.
We love… the high-quality “Züricher Geschnetzeltes”.
