About Sa Font de sa Cala
Sa Font de sa Cala is a family friendly cove beach on the east coast of Mallorca surrounded by low cliffs and pine trees. Near to Capdepera, the resort town of Canyamel, and the quaint fishing port of Cala Rajada, this 100-metre long beach is popular with tourists, particularly Germans and French, who come to stay at the nearby hotels and small resorts, but locals who live in neighbouring towns also make a visit here because of its easy access and beautiful water.
The beach has soft sand and clear blue waters that make it a good spot for the dive tours which are offered here. Lounge chairs and umbrellas can be rented and there are several water sports activities for hire including SUP, paddle boats and diving. There are onsite facilities including showers and changing areas and while not luxurious they definitely do the trick. There is one beach front bar and restaurant that serves simple dishes such as fish, hamburgers and some tapas, and a couple of small cafe’s nearby. There is not much in the way of a town here, as most visitors stay in the nearby accommodations, but Sa Font de sa Cala has all the amenities you need for a relaxing beach day.

Safety and Access
Sa Font de sa Cala is well marked and easily accessed from the main road. Parking can be difficult in the peak summer months as there is one paid public parking area and otherwise you will need to find street parking. The walk down to the beach is easy and there is a paved boardwalk that backs up to the sand making it wheelchair accessible. Anchoring a boat out in the water is possible and Cala Rajada is the nearest port with services. There is no public bus service directly to this beach.
There is a lifeguard on duty here all summer long.
Things to do on Sa Font de sa Cala
For a relatively small beach there are plenty of activities here to keep you busy for the day. A cute surf shack on the beach rents out SUP boards and windsurfing equipment, there is a dive shop onsite for coordinating local dives, and there are the classic paddle boats with which you can explore. It is also possible to charter a boat or a boat tour for the day to explore the surrounding coast line. Snorkeling is also a favourite activity because of the clear waters.
