This restaurant is now in new ownership, and has changed concept.
Sa Punta has a privileged location on a promontory just north of Cala Bona, and has been open for some 20 years. Brothers Luis and Pedro Martín are in the kitchen. Aurelio Grande is the maître d’. The menu hasn’t changed much in recent years, but there is plenty of choice, including house specialities such as roast duck with Mallorcan orange sauce, and roast lamb with rosemary. Oysters, hand-carved acorn-fed pata negra ham, Kobe beef and salt-baked fish are other specialities.
Picture windows offer sea views when dining indoors. In summer you can dine in the attractive sheltered garden, amid palm trees and plants, or on the more exposed ‘punta’ terrace by the Mediterranean. Live music – often a guitarist – on many summer nights adds to the romance of the location.
