Perfect for business travellers, the city-breakers, or those looking to explore Palma, Santa Clara Urban Hotel & Spa has worked out the formula to provide comfort and style without losing its homely and welcoming approach.
In the historic streets of the Calatrava district of central Palma, Santa Clara Urban Hotel & Spa is right in the heart of the old town and walking distance from the major attractions. The narrow streets around the hotel are for residents only making this a tranquil option in the city centre. Only 10 minutes from the airport and five minutes from the beach, this hotel suits any visitor to Palma.
Relax & enjoy
It would not be unusual to spot a guest in their dressing gown in the hotel lobby or eating breakfast in their hotel slippers, such is the relaxing atmosphere of the hotel. The neutral and inconspicuous décor is well placed and inoffensive and merges beautifully with the old features of the building.
There is a small wellness room located downstairs in the lower level of the hotel and is equipped with a Jacuzzi, a sauna and a treatment room. On the very top of the hotel sits the sunny roof terrace with sea views, a spectacular view of the cathedral and, on a clear day, to the Bellver Castle and the mountains. Sip a cocktail whilst spreading out on one of the sun loungers and take it all in.
A neutral colour palette in all of the rooms allows the original 17th-century stone walls to do the talking and both complement each other perfectly. There are five types of rooms ranging in size and all have large 2-metre beds, televisions and tea and coffee-making facilities. The bathrooms are basic yet aesthetically pleasing with natural colours and ecological products for guests to use.
The Junior Suites are very spacious with large beds and a sofa-bed and the Suite is actually a modern duplex with a mezzanine level supporting the large double bed leaving the lower level enough space for the hot tub and spacious seating area.
Eat & drink
Santa Clara does not have its own in-house restaurant but does offer a small café/bar area on the ground floor where a buffet breakfast is served with fresh juices and the usual continental breakfast offerings. There are minibars in all of the rooms with the usual alcoholic and soft drinks.
Close to the hotel
Palma Cathedral, the small Palma beach and Anima Beach Club, the old town with its many plazas, restaurants and cafes are just a short walk away and the Palma Airport is only 10-minutes’ drive. It is worth noting that the area is mainly residential and therefore is lacking in parking but speak to the hotel before your stay and they will be able to advise.
Good to know
A small meeting room is available for companies to hold training sessions, small conferences and meetings.
