Borne
In the past few years Paseo del Borne has become the most important shopping street on the island, with the opening of Rialto Living, the Louis Vuitton store, Hugo Boss, Carolina Herrera and Mulberry making this the ‘designer street’ for luxury shopping. Borne is now known as the golden mile of Palma.
Uterqüe Boutique
Located in the restored Ca N’Alomar mansion in the smart Borne, this upmarket fashion brand is from the same company as Zara and offers high-quality fashion that isn’t found in many countries outside of Spain. Great if you want to find something your friends won’t have in their wardrobes! This two-storey boutique offers 300 square metres of retail space.
Zara
If you love high-street shopping, then Zara is probably on your hit-list. It is well worth checking out Zara on the Borne as it is housed in one of Palma’s most architecturally-renowned buildings which used to be Palma’s main cinema before the global fashion house moved in.
Massimo Dutti
Another Spanish high street favourite is Massimo Dutti for affordable fashion for all the family. There is a flagship store just off the Borne and it is well worth a visit. Prices are generally lower in Spain for Zara and Massimo Dutti than in Northern Europe.

To truly experience shopping in Palma you need to pass through this street until you arrive at Plaza Cort. Ladies will find a great selection of leather shoes made in Spain as well as exclusive boutiques and some well-known brand stores.
Calle Quint is known amongst many Mallorcans as ‘the street with the stupid stairs’ (las escaleras bobas), as you never know whether to take the steps one, two or three at a time – which unfortunately means you spend most of your time looking down rather than taking in lovely shop windows of places such as Pasatiempos, La Industrial Toy Shop, and La Pajarita.
