Son Antem Golf Club is part of the Marriott Golf Resort & Spa, some 20 minutes’ drive from Palma de Mallorca on a motorway and near Llucmajor, in the southeast of the island. The club is home to two 18-hole courses, designed by Francisco López Segalés, one of Spain’s leading course designers.
Both have lots of sand and water and are easily walked. Son Antem has been the venue for several important European tournaments, including the Audi Quattro Cup, Mallorca Cup and PGA Tour Spain.
The championship Son Antem West course opened in 2001 and offers an exciting challenge for golfers of all abilities. It features three lakes (surrounded by five holes) and tight fairways, and winds through native woodland and over gentle hills.

Son Antem East course was built on an old hunting estate, amid olive and almond trees, with plenty of wildlife. This course is better suited to beginners and intermediate players. The early holes are fairly easy but later ones become more challenging. Play involves five lakes and relatively wide fairways. In late 2011, the lakes at holes 2 and 4 were cleaned, reshaped and relined, with fountains added. Tees were seeded with Bermuda grass and all tee boxes newly levelled and shaped.

As well as clubhouse and golf shop, Son Antem also offers some of the best practice facilities on Mallorca, including a circular driving range (recently re-seeded with Bermuda grass) accommodating up to 200 players at once. There are three putting greens and a short game area including bunkers. Resort guests only pay ball fees to use the practice facilities.
The Golf Academy offers a range of instruction possibilities, including the Marriott Kids Golf-4-Free programme (for aged 15 and under), after 15:00 hrs, when the youngster is accompanied by an adult on a paid lesson.
Players staying at the Mallorca Marriott Son Antem Golf Resort & Spa have a wide range of other facilities available.
