The rolling Llevant hills provide the backdrop to this luxurious country house hotel – an aesthetically executed conversion of a ruined 18th-century farmhouse by its owners, the architect/designer Toni Estevá and his wife Catín. Understated elegance is the watchword here, where natural materials – such as the island’s ‘marés’ stone, wooden beams and Mallorcan linen – play a starring role in the restful décor.
All ten well-appointed rooms are junior suites, with king-sized bed, and terrace. The hotel’s restaurant serves classic Mallorcan cuisine, prepared by Josefa – who has cooked here for many years. The finca’s organic garden provides vegetables and hens’ eggs; meat is organic, and fish fresh and locally caught. There’s a swimming pool in the verdant gardens, and also a spa – with indoor pool, sauna, hammam, Jacuzzi, gym and yoga room.
Treatments also available from a professional therapist, by appointment. Palma’s Hotel Convent de la Missió is under the same ownership – but isn’t quite as tranquil as this rural idyll!
We Love…the interesting contemporary art in the hotel.
Why you should stay here…to explore the beaches of the east coast.
Good to Know. Four golf courses within 15 minutes’ drive.
