History and Culture
Although Son Serra de Marina is close to many ancient settlements, this area really developed in the 1950s. The town became a popular place for Mallorcans looking for holiday homes. Today the town is not a major tourist destination, but its un-spoilt character makes it an excellent choice for those in search of beautiful, natural coastal areas and countryside. You will mainly find Spanish visitors, Mallorcans and independent travellers in this area – most visit just for the day.
