The Magaluf Spring Festival takes place every year and is hosted by the Asociación Hotelera de Magaluf & Ayuntamiento de Calvià . Now in its 12th year, this festival is the second biggest fiesta after Sant Sebastià in this area.
What to expect
The show starts at around 10.00pm in Plaza Momentum in Magaluf with fire jugglers performing for the gathered crowds before the drums announce the arrival of the parade that takes place from 10.30pm until 11.45 pm. As the ferocity of the drumming increases the demons and devils arrive at 11.45 pm to commence the famous ‘correfoc’ or fire run. Expect loud bangs, flying sparks, lots of people and a heap of fun!
Over 100 demons and devils take place in the correfoc and it is important to keep children away from the spectacle and that those participating cover arms and legs and wear non-flammable attire.
Don’t miss this exciting, chaotic and electric festival with food stands, live music and lots of tradition in Magaluf.
The festival takes place on Friday 17th May and be sure to check the town hall website or Facebook for updates.
