The beautiful seaside city of Palma de Mallorca is famous for great weather, fascinating medieval old town and Mallorcan culture. Belle Epoque buildings are charming, and Palma’s restaurants are transforming the island into a fantastic foodie destination attracting innovative young chefs. Whether you are looking for a gastronomic getaway weekend, or an art-full, sunny destination, Palma has it all.
The five-star Súmmum Hotel is located in a refurbished 15th-century mansion tucked away on a picturesque street in the Sant Jaume neighbourhood of Mallorca’s capital. Church bells chime announcing the hour, and horsedrawn carriages are the most frequent traffic. The hotel is within walking distance of all the major attractions of Palma, woven with narrow shady cobblestone streets, tiny tapas bars and traditional bakeries.
Relax & enjoy
Súmmum Hotel offers all the luxury amenities expected of a boutique five-star experience, in 18 rooms. The mansion was refurbished in a modern style by interior designer Elvira Blanco. The French-influenced decor incorporates Mallorcan features of the original building such as a pozo, cobblestone floors, and authentic architectural details from later periods. A Wellness Spa offers spa treatments in the original pozo. On the planta noble, the “Club” is a private library-cum-lounge for guests. The hotel has two restaurants: the more formal being Equus and 1874, a casual bar. On the rooftop terrace there is a plunge pool with chaises longues for soaking up the sun.
There are four categories of rooms at the Súmmum Hotel: the Double Deluxe, Double Premium, Junior Suite, and Parietti Suite. The style of the rooms is classic french-modern luxury, with every amenity expected, including Chopard products and large windows overlooking the picturesque streets of the neighbourhood. The Parietti Suite has an exquisite fresco and a Porsche Macan S is at your disposal.
Eat & drink
Equus is Súmmum Hotel’s gourmet restaurant, serving French cuisine in what was once the property stable. The 1874 Bar & Lounge offers a more casual option, with a leafy patio for an afternoon coffee or cocktail. The hotel can accommodate groups, conferences, and corporate events.
Close to the hotel
Mallorca is a foodie destination, and Palma has wonderful restaurants. The hotel is within walking distance of all the major sites of Palma; La Seu Cathedral, Es Baluard Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, and the beautiful Old Town. If you are looking for a centrally located hotel with luxury amenities, the Súmmum Hotel is an elegant stay.
