The idyllic Bens d’Avall on Mallorca’s northwest coast has been delighting clients this year with its newly renovated terrace, from which to soak up the gorgeous mountains-and-Med views.
Summer 2016 has been especially good for this eternally popular restaurant, situated off the main road halfway between Deià and Sóller. A four-kilometre drive then takes you to this hidden spot, with its special placement overlooking the sea.
Benet Vicens – who was aged eight when his parents opened the restaurant in 1971 – now has his talented 23-year-old chef son Jaume working alongside him in the kitchen.
Like father, like son.
