Mar de Nudos Restaurant and Sea Brasserie in Palma has invited German chef Marcel Ress – winner of Spanish TV series ‘Top Chef’ – to cook his own innovative dishes for their diners.
The restaurant offered separate gastronomic lunch and dinner menus created by the 27-year-old champion, working there as guest chef.
The three-course lunch menu included matched wines and costs 29€. For dinner, an aperitif was followed by five courses for 65€, including matched wines. Lunch dishes included the fresh-tasting sweet cannelloni dessert, starring lemon, coconut, quinoa, and honeycomb. The dinner menu included scallops, foie gras, duck breast, and Marcel’s winning Tramuntana dessert from the ‘Top Chef’ programme.
The artistic presentation of Marcel’s cuisine and his creative combinations of ingredients revealed why he is in demand for guest appearances at other restaurants in Spain.
