Some designers like to talk about what kind of person they design for. With EZ Lab, it’s more about how an individual feels when he or she puts on their innovative line of clothes and sneakers.
Slipping into a coat from their Danish and Nordic collection, you become brave and confident; The small yet potent Palma store represents the zenith of deconstructed, minimalist clothing – less of a way of dressing, than a lifestyle choice.
Those who embrace the spirit of freedom inherent in the beautifully capable pieces on show in EZ Lab love the easy style and comfort it gives them. Traditional fashion brands just don’t feel quite right to these searchers of something inherently different and exclusive, who care about where their clothes come from.
A modern, international clique have found their alternative in this dynamic avant-garde label, opened steps away from Passeig del Borne in November 2015 by Magali Marian and Katerina Rudolfova.
Hailing from France and the Czech Republic respectively, the pair could have chosen Paris, Budapest or Prague as the location of their venture, instead choosing Palma in a move that affirms their faith in the city as a vibrant cultural destination.
Both have a deep respect for ecology – Magali having lived in Africa for 17 years – and demonstrate a firm commitment to responsible manufacturing.
The two have made personal promises to contribute to the wellbeing of their adopted island, fostering hopes to bring show production to the local economy. Individuals like Magali and Katerina don’t follow trends; they set them. And theirs is a most positive route.
“Let the unique personality of each wearer flow through creative design” is the EZ Lab philosophy, perfectly embodying the bold new wave of beautiful and free Balearic spirit.
