The stars were shining on Restaurant Zaranda once again as it won its second Michelin star. The secluded gardens of Castell Son Claret, home of Zaranda, were the scene for an afternoon of celebration, as chef Fernando P. Arellano and his team took time to bask in some well-deserved glory.

For Fernando P. Arellano, it is a dream come true: at the prestigious award ceremony of the Guide Michelin Spain in Santiago de Compostela, he and his Zaranda colleagues received the award– making Zaranda the only two-star restaurant on island of Mallorca.
“My team and I are incredibly honoured to receive this amazing accolade and extremely proud to bring back a two-star restaurant to Mallorca, which – together with my six Michelin-starred colleagues will position the island as a top culinary destination. Castell Son Claret opened in May 2013 after an intense restoration project under the careful instruction of the property’s owners, Klaus-Michael and Christine Kühne.
