This June, the first edition of the popular Gastronomic Festival, Van Van Market, will be held in Palma along with indie music concerts.
The best food trucks from Barcelona, together with a selection of chefs and local food experts, will take over the Parc de la Mar in front of the Cathedral offering a fun day for foodies on the island.
A gastronomic pop-up will feature Chef Santi Taura who will transfer his signature cuisine from his popular restaurants to a more street-style format. Pau Navarro, chef of Clandestí Taller Gastronòmic, will be taking the menus that are normally offered to 16 diners and serving them to a much bigger crowd.
Other local chefs will be cooking live for the crowds and serving popular Mallorcan dishes with a twist and their Barcelona counterparts will be there to bring some Catalunyan flair to the festival.
Under the slogan “Street.Food.Culture”, Van Van promises to make this festival and market in Palma an unforgettable event.
The festival will take place from 31 May until 2nd June in Parc de la Mar and entrance is free.
Friday from 17h to 24h
Saturday and Sunday from 13h to 24h.
