Rental villa location
Nestled into a hillside above the Bay of Palma, Villa Pia is a modernist estate that offers a clever architectural insight into outdoor living. The Mediterranean sea hangs as the backdrop to this state of the art minimalist compound. The world class city of Palma is just a short drive, and you have all the amenities you need in Portals Nous and Puerto Portals just outside your gates. Beaches, tennis and golf courses are close enough to bike to if you feel compelled to leave the quiet, peaceful property.
Overview of the villa
Villa Pia interior decor is sleek but not at the sacrifice of comfort. Chrome finishings, glass walls, and a black and white palette follow the aesthetics of minimalism, with all the necessities and amenities of 21st century living. Cleverly divided into two buildings, one with five bedrooms and another with additional bedrooms, an open plan lounge and dining room, and a roof terrace. The buildings are connected by a chef’s kitchen. There is underfloor heating, air conditioning and fibre optic wireless internet throughout the house. The villas’s private bedrooms offer accommodation for a large group on vacation who wants a taste of modern Mediterranean living. Indoor and outdoor spaces are planned so there is effortless movement between the indoor lounge and the outdoor terrace.
Villa Pia has seven bedrooms each thoughtfully designed to maximise privacy and comfort. There are four bedrooms with double sleeping capacity, two bedrooms with single capacity, two children’s bedrooms with bunk beds in each. There are four bathrooms. The master bedroom offers a incredible vista of the sea and an ensuite bathroom.
The ground floor level has an entrance hallway that leads to the tasteful open plan lounge and kitchen. The lounge has a fireplace and cozy sectional sofas. There is a den with a TV and a large dining area and chef’s kitchen lead out onto the large spacious terraces with sea views. Just outside the lounge is the main terrace with dining for 12 and a outdoor lounge with sectional sofas. The lowers terraces flanked by green lawns and there is large glittering pool with chaises longues. There are an additional two bedrooms with double sleeping capacity that share a bathroom.
The first floor has a master bedroom with sweeping vistas of the sea, an ensuite bathroom and TV. Two single rooms with twin beds and two children’s bedrooms with bunk beds that share a bathroom. All the bedrooms are spacious and airy, several opening to the terrace, and there is a large roof terrace.
The grand terraces of Villa Pia are open to the sky and sunlit. There are chaises longues with umbrellas by the pool for soaking up the sun. The large dining area has a gas BBQ for grilling local seafood and produce from the market. Terraced green lawns invite afternoon games for kids. There is a ping pong table.
There is a laundry room with a washer and dryer. Maid service is included.
Outside living areas
Once you fling wide the glass partitions of the villa the interior and exterior spaces of are seamless and you have the essential Mallorcan summer experience of living a plein air. However the house is fully air conditioned if you are looking to escape the heat. The outdoor lounge and dining area are cloistered to create a living area outside. Who could resist curling up on the outdoor sofa watching boats on the horizon.
Good to know…
Villa Pia is 22 km from the airport and 1.5 km from the sea. It sleeps 12 easily with room for overflow. There are laundry facilities, a ping pong table, and a gas BBQ.
