Tucked into the ancient terraced vineyards and olive groves of the Tramuntana Mountains, Son Bunyola is a nature reserve for eagles, and part of the island’s UNESCO World Heritage Site. The property has a private pebble beach just 15 minutes walk down a winding path, and some of Mallorca’s most beautiful hiking trails run through the estate. Overview of the villa
Sa Terra Rotja is a charming, traditional stone Mallorcan casa with a tiled roof, painted shutters, and Mediterranean sea vistas from all of the well-appointed rooms. Each of the four bedrooms has a private marble ensuite bathroom, and every amenity expected of a luxury property.
Newly refurbished, the classical continental interiors and Branson’s own personal art collection featuring local artists give the villa a homely and comfortable ambience. A modern chef’s kitchen and the villa’s common areas of the elegant dining room and lounges were designed with family holidays in mind. Spilling out onto a grand portico and terrace, the interior and exterior spaces are seamless. The outdoor dining area and lounge are shaded and breezy, with a hammock for afternoon siestas. The pool sparkles below the terrace with chaises longues and a convenient outdoor kitchen. On the property is a full tennis court and access to the private pebble beach.
Sa Terra Rotja’s sleeps eight, with two bedrooms on each of the two levels of the villa. Each bedroom is an independent suite with a marble ensuite bathroom. The rooms have the expected luxury amenities including portable Bose mini speakers, bathrobes, Bamford toiletries, and USB connections in the headboards. Your name is written as a welcome on the door when you arrive, and housekeeping offers turndown service.
On the ground floor, a chef’s kitchen has a personal chef providing you with three gourmet meals daily, based on your dietary requirements and culinary predilections. A double-story living room has a fireplace and doors that open onto the terrace. The elegant dining room has a fireplace and seats eight. Two bedrooms with five-star amenities are located on the ground floor each with an ensuite bathroom.
Two bedrooms are on the upper level each have private terraces overlooking the sea and hotel-style king beds. The master bedroom has a fireplace, sitting area, and master bathroom with a tub.
On the property, you have access to a tennis court, pool, private beach, and the beautiful vineyards and gardens surrounding the property. Some of the most wonderful hiking trails on the island traverse the estate. There is an an eagle nesting sanctuary, Sa Punta de S’Aguila where eagles fly high above in the dazzling blue sky.
