Jose L. Ferrer, Binissalem
Probably the best known of the local bodegas José L. Ferrer, was founded in 1931, and has built a solid reputation for consistently turning out wines from their oak barrels in the subterranean wine cellars. The Bodega José L. Ferrer can be visited by groups of 5 to 25 people, a reservation in advance is necessary.

Vins Nadal Wine Celler
Known for its lively harvest celebration, Vins Nadal has been an important part of the Binissalem wine region since 1932. A family run business led by Esperanza Nadal, one of their most successful wines is Albaflour, made from Merlot, Cabernet and Syrah grapes. Albaflour wine is named after one of the first wines produced on Mallorca in the late 19th century by Archiduque Lluis Salvador.

Cellar Sebastia Pastor
Now being run by the third generation of this family, Cellar Sebastia Pastor is located in Santa Maria del Cami. It is a modern winery that uses old fashioned techniques that have been handed down generation after generation. They grow the indigenous Manto Negro and Callet grapes for the red and Prensal for the white, all of which are hand harvested. In addition, almost 80% of their harvest is sold locally out of big barrels. Locals come with their bottles or take one of the big plastic bottles available and fill their own.

Made in Mallorca
In 2016 Llorenç Pons and Alejandro Arranz launched Ketchup La Forqueta, an all-natural ketchup that uses delicious ramellet tomatos which are indigenous to Mallorca. It’s a full-flavoured sauce and the business has been successfully growing since its launch. Good-bye to Heinz.
In Sóller, Embutidos La Luna offers a whole range of classical Mallorcan meat products like sobrassada, pates, butifarrón and camaiot. Established in 1900, this company is the oldest on the island making excellent traditional Mallorcan products.
Olive Oil from Son Moragues
Liquid gold, as it has been referred to by many over the centuries, Olive Oil is an important part of Mallorcan history and its economy.
Son Moragues sits on a vast, 14th century estate in Valldemossa and counts over 10,000 olive trees. With a rich history and award winning olive oils, the first was received in 1888, Son Moragues continues to win awards with its sustainably produced oils that are made following the ancient techniques established centuries ago. A special limited edition label comes in a a beautiful, handblown glass bottle and wooden box. A visit to this estate can include a tour of the gardens and tastings.
The Son Moragues estate in Valldemossa has been in existence since the 14th century. Awoken from slumber, the olive groves are now being cultivated again.

People from all over the island gather in Consell early on Sunday mornings to buy and sell second hand goods. There are buried treasures here: you just have to sort though all the rubbish until you find what you are looking for. This is the place to look for old toys, furniture or old books.
