Mallorca is home to four waterparks, three of which that are the perfect place to take the kids on a hot day in summer. With a selection of waterslides, wave pools and children’s attractions at all of them, there is something to entertain every member of the family. For those grown-ups that want to feel like a kid again and whizz down some slides, there is also an adults-only waterpark that is slightly rowdier, yet plenty of fun, in Magaluf.
Aqualand El Arenal
Aqualand Arenal is one of the island’s largest waterparks and is the perfect place for eight hours of splashing around. Adrenaline junkies can test their nerves on Tsunami, a 15-metre high half-pipe or reach dizzying heights on the Tornado. For the smaller members of your family there is plenty to keep them entertained with four themed areas such as Adventureland and Dragonland. For those just looking to relax there is a lazy river and a jacuzzi as well as plenty of sun-loungers around the park.
The Western Waterpark in Magaluf offers several enjoyable water slides of all sizes, suitable for every family member. Spin around El Látigo, or the Lasso, for the ultimate thrill or fight the waves in the huge wave pool. The ‘Kid’s Paradise’ is a magnet for kids during their visit or let them splash around in the Buffalo Bill-themed Daky Park. Adults can relax in the large bath house with jacuzzis and hot tubs or lay back and watch the soothing waterfalls.
Last, but not least, Port d’Alcúdia is the location of the only water park in northern Mallorca. Smaller than the other two parks on the island, Hidropark not only offers entertaining slides, but also bouncy castles, paint-balling, a mini-golf course, giant floating balls and trampolines for all ages.
BH Hotel Water Park
The adults-only waterpark at the BH Hotel in Magaluf offers something a little different to the waterpark scene on the island. The world’s first adult-only waterpark has nine thrilling slides on which guests can reach up to 60km/h in under 2 seconds! The twisted maze of slides also boasts a 360 degree loop that has been described as the ‘human rollercoaster’. This park offers day passes including all food and drinks and can be a little rowdy.
