The world-class tennis of the WTA Mallorca Open, happening in summer, has given rise to the development of a one-of-a-kind address on the island. The Country Club Tennis Academy features a centre court, five additional grass courts, seven clay courts and three hard courts, based on the quality of the Wimbledon model, courtesy of the involvement of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club.
In June, up to 3,000 spectators will watch the action of the international women’s only tennis tournament from their seats around the Centre Court, while a fortunate few will gain a unique vantage point from the roof terrace of an ultramodern clubhouse.
Spain’s first ever grass court tournament is to be heralded in style at this premium new destination, the result of an extension of the international professional tennis calendar.
Held between the French Open and Wimbledon, Mallorca’s grass court event will be the ideal preparation for The Championships.
